$35 – Chapter Analysis

Developmental Editing on the first 3,800 words of your manuscript (add additional words at a $10 per 1,100 words rate). You will receive:

$65 – Complete Story Prep

A 1-2 hour video conference brainstorming session using up to 2,500 words of your book ideas as a springboard (add additional words at a $10 per 550 words rate; this rate accounts for the density of this type of writing). The video conference will include:

Principle-Based Questions: I will use perceptive, principle-based questions to guide our discussion and find the core of the characters and plot you want. I will also briefly teach any story-crafting principles that could enrich our discussion.
Written Character and Plot Plans: After our discussion, you will receive full notes on the ideas that most excited you, organized into potential character arcs and plot points.
Where to Go Next: In the notes, I will include resources to help you in the next stage of your writing journey, including guidance on how to continue prewriting or drafting, and any articles or books we used to guide our discussion.
Note: Complete Story Prep can be used at any stage in the writing process. Many writers find this option helpful when they are stalled in the middle of a draft or revisions.

$65 – Budget Editorial Assessment

An in-depth assessment on your synopsis (up to 2,500 words) and the first 3,000 words of your manuscript (add additional words at a $10 per 1,100 words rate). You will receive:

Edit Letter: Get a clear analysis of the strengths and potential of your plot, character, and theme development, with clear, principle-based suggestions on how to improve the bones of your story. This letter will also include writing principles that would most improve the style and clarity of your writing.
Thorough Comments: Get in-depth comments on the presentation of character, plot, theme, world-building, clarity and style in your writing.
Hands-On Video Explanation: To expand on the most prominent points in the edit letter, I will include a personalized video. You will see clear examples on how to implement the edit letter, with solutions workshopped in your submitted samples.
Where to Go Next: At the end of the edit letter, you will receive resources to help you in the next stage of your writing journey, including article and book suggestions.

$350* – Full Editorial Assessment

An editorial assessment of your entire manuscript (*rate varies depending on word count and density). You will receive:

Edit Letter: Get a full analysis of the strengths and potential of your plot, character, and theme development, with clear, principle-based suggestions on how to improve the bones of your story. This letter also includes explanations of writing principles that will most improve the style and clarity of your writing. This comprehensive letter will be 2,000-4,000 words long.
Thorough Comments: Get in-depth comments on the presentation of character, plot, theme, world-building, clarity and style throughout the entire manuscript.
Hands-On Video Explanation: To expand on the most prominent points in the edit letter, I will include a personalized video. You will see clear examples on how to implement the edit letter, with solutions workshopped right in your manuscript.

Follow-Up Video Consultation:After you receive your edit letter, you can schedule a follow-up video consultation. In this consultation, you will get 1-2 hours with me on video call to go over questions and brainstorm solutions.
